When and Where?

What?

Outline agenda is as follows:

Monday 7th July - Day 1

  • 09:00 - 11:30 - Workshop(s) - Optional in-depth workshops on a variety of topics. (*)
  • 11:30 - 12:00 - Newcomer introduction. (*)
  • 12:00 - 13:30 - Doors Open, Registration & Lunch (in-person attendees).
  • 13:30 - 17:30 - NetUK2 - Afternoon Session. (Breaks at around 14:30 and 16:00).
  • 17:30 - 23:00 - Social Event. (*)

Tuesday 8th July - Day 2

  • 09:00 - 10:00 - Doors Open, Registration (in-person attendees).
  • 10:00 - 13:00 - NetUK2 - Morning Session. (Break at around 11:30).
  • 13:00 - 14:00 - Lunch Break.
  • 14:00 - 17:00 - NetUK2 - Afternoon Session. (Break at around 15:30).

Accessibility

  • We want our events to be as inclusive as possible.

  • Whether you require a quiet space, assistance with physical accessibility, or support for visual/hearing impairments, we will strive to enhance your event experience to the fullest extent possible.
  • The venue is accessible from street level and has lifts to all floors for the rooms we will be using.
  • Some of the rooms have a few steps but have either an accessible lift or ramp.
  • The main entrance/registration is in The Octagon.
  • From The Octagon, there's 7 steps or an accessible lift going up to King George III room (Lunch/Social)
  • The main sessions will take place in The Porter Tun room on the first floor. (Lift is round to the right from The Octagon)
  • Step-free access to Upper Sugar Room is via The Porter Tun.
  • Workshops are downstairs in James Watt or The King Vault. Step-free (lift) access is possible via James Watt.
  • A quiet / work space will be available during the main conference downstairs in The Queen Vault. Please keep noise to a minimum in this area and be considerate when using mobile phones etc.
  • Explore the Brewery
  • Accessible / Gender-neutral toilets are available at the venue.

Safety and Security

London is generally safe, but as with any big city, it's worth taking sensible precautions.

Travel

IMPORTANT: If visiting from outside the UK - you may need to apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA)

From 2 April 2025, this includes EU/EEA nationals (Except Ireland)

Tubes/Trains

  • If you do not have an Oyster Card, use a contactless credit or debit card for tube and bus fares. Paper tickets from the machines at tube stations are more expensive!
  • You can use mobile payment (e.g. Google Wallet/Apple Pay). Remember to tap in and tap out using the same device/payment method to pay the correct fare.
  • If arriving from outside London, you can buy a national rail ticket including London Underground Zone 1 to get from your arrival station to the venue.

Bus

Bicycle

  • Cycle routes C11/C1.
  • Bicycle parking is available at the Brewery. Helmets etc. can be left in the cloakroom.
  • For bike geeks: CycleStreets.

By Car

Parking

  • There are no car parking facilities on site at The Brewery.
  • The nearest public NCP car park can be found at The Barbican. There is also limited pay and display street parking available.
  • Beech Street (8am to Midnight every day)
  • Finsbury Square (24hrs, Mon-Sat)
  • London Wall (24hrs, Mon-Sat)
  • Aldersgate Street (24hrs, open every day)

Alternatively, it may be more convenient to use a car park, or stay and park at a hotel further out, but is close to public transport. (e,g, Docklands, Clapham, Vauxhall/Battersea etc.)

Airports

  • London City, Heathrow and Gatwick airports are on the TfL Oyster network for connecting trains. Use Oyster or a contactless payment method at the ticket gates.
  • Luton and Stansted require a separate train ticket:
  • Luton: Buy a ticket to/from Luton Airport (NOT Luton Airport Parkway) to include the shiny new DART shuttle connection from Luton Airport to Luton Airport Parkway.
  • Stansted: Stansted Express offers the fastest way to travel between London Stansted Airport and London. Trains depart every 30 minutes and take 50 minutes to and from London Liverpool Street.
